Description
Position SummaryThe Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine ( IUSM ) jointly with the IU Health Medical Group ( IUHMG ), are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking, and team-oriented individual to join our Division of Molecular Pathology.
The Division of Molecular Pathology performs molecular testing for the Indiana University Health system of 16 hospital covering the state of Indiana, and for numerous outreach clients. This position will focus on molecular pathology diagnostics including next generation sequencing for hematolymphoid and solid tumors, PCR -based testing and FISH , and engage in various system-wide genomics programs such as Precision Health Initiative. Leadership opportunities will be available for qualified individuals.
Candidates with experience/training in molecular pathology and bioinformatics along with strong clinical or translational research interests are encouraged to apply. The position is open rank and open track (clinical and tenure track). Qualifications and level of experience will determine the academic track and rank of the appointment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide sign-out of somatic next generation sequencing testing, PCR -based assays and fluorescence in situ hybridization
- Participate in test development and advancements in the Division of Molecular Pathology
- Pursue clinical and translational research
- Actively participate in educational activities including ACGME -accredited and non-accredited trainees

Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate or Terminal degree is required. The applicant must be certified by the American Board of Pathology in Molecular Genetic Pathology or ABMGG , in the specialty of Laboratory Genetics and Genomics. Applicants must be qualified for licensure in the state of Indiana.
